Alexa Skills Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

Terms of Service

By creating an Alexa Skill (“Service”) with Radio Cult Limited (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you (“Station,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Availability and Uptime

We strive to maintain continuous availability of your Alexa Skill. However, certain circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to network outages, AWS/Alexa platform issues, or force majeure events, may affect uptime. We are not liable for interruptions beyond our reasonable control but will use reasonable efforts to restore service promptly.

2. Station Responsibilities

You must ensure you have the rights to the stream and content you provide.

You are responsible for maintaining an active Radio Cult subscription. If your subscription is terminated or unpaid, we reserve the right to disable your Alexa Skill without further notice.

You may not use the Skill to distribute unlawful or infringing content.

3. Termination

We may suspend or terminate the Service (or any Alexa Skill) if:

• You breach these Terms;
• Your subscription lapses;
• We receive a valid complaint from Amazon, a user, or a regulatory authority.

4. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

Privacy Policy

Radio Cult takes your privacy and the privacy of your listeners and users seriously. This policy outlines how we handle personal and non-personal data related to Alexa Skills.

1. No Personal Data Collection from End Users

We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) from end users who enable or use any Alexa Skill we provide.

2. Analytics and Usage Data

Station owners receive anonymous metrics to help improve listener experience. These metrics may include:

• Country or region of listener
• Device type (e.g., Alexa-enabled speaker)
• Session duration (how long the stream was played)

No IP addresses, user IDs, voice recordings, or identifiable Alexa user data are shared with station owners or stored by us.

3. Data Processed on Behalf of Amazon

Any voice commands, requests, or metadata are processed by Amazon under their own privacy policy. We do not access or retain this data.

4. Children’s Data

Alexa Skills provided by Radio Cult are not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

5. Data Security

We employ industry-standard measures to protect the minimal analytics data we process. No sensitive or personal data is stored.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of our Alexa Skills after updates indicates acceptance of the new terms.
